The Fletcher School of Law and Government occupies Cabot Hall, Goddard Hall, and Mugar Hall for its academic mission. The university identified the need of various new spaces to support the programs that continue to raise their stature internationally. Some of these growth initiatives included the Master of International Business Program, Master’s in Law Program, Executive Education Program, and a growth in numbers of research fellows and post-doc candidates.

Working through a Master Planning process that was implemented in multi-year phases, several seminar rooms were upgraded with new technology and furnishings, classroom quantities were increased, the library was updated for new furniture and group study areas and the building restroom spaces and circulation areas were redesigned to comply with ADA regulations. In particular, the circulation path between the different buildings was redesigned for clarity and ease of use.

Cabot Hall’s famed ‘Hall of Flags’ was updated to enhance its function as a welcome center to the school. New finishes, furnishings and lighting complement the new display of the school’s fag collection, visible thru upper levels that open to the Cabot lobby. The new hall acts as a grounding element that ties together the disparate areas of the school and further enhances the school’s mission to bring together the future world leaders in a mission of peace.
