Cambridge-based biopharmaceutical company AngieX develops drugs against a membrane that causes the growth, invasion, and metastasis of cancerous tumors. Having successfully destroyed tumors in mice, the company’s mission is to treat all solid tumors with the increasingly improved versions of their medications in the near future.

AngieX secured a full floor suite on the fifth floor of 150 Cambridge Park Drive, comprising 27,000 USF. The company required maximum flexibility in the design to accommodate their long-term growth plans. VIVO developed a well-researched and innovative design plan to maximize space utilization and allow the space to be shared with various subtenants without the need for architectural modifications. This allows AngieX to grow into their space without costly changes in the future. Shared amenities are positioned for easy access from any point in the facility and bind together the various work areas. The project also involves thorough coordination between the exhaust shaft completion and the exhaust ductwork for the chemistry labs. Besides, the chemistry lab requires a higher hazard separation from the main lab. VIVO’s specialist knowledge of lab design teamed with a sound understanding of the current market cost facilitates a seamless design development process with little or no requirement for value engineering. It helps save time and reduces the overall project expenditure. Additionally, VIVO’s efficient management style ensures smooth collaboration between the owner, tenant reps, and consultants.
